Hi Carl
You guys were great in Merrillville. Awesome show!
Wasn't sure if you recognized me in the hallway at the Radisson after the show - it was just a quick Hi.
And I can't stop playing your new DVD. You guys are really good in it ! Even Bob. haha
Thanks for your contribution to a wonderful, memorable weekend.

Just wanted to say "Great Show " in Merrilville ! You guys are in a class by yourselves. The quality and professionalism displayed by every member of your group is amazing.
Herman's Hermits are very enjoyable and Peter Noone is great but they are not in the same class as the Bucks. It looks like the end of the road for Rob Grill - he was obviously hurting . It was nice of you to do some extra numbers. Your range of instuments and vocal capabilitues made for a very enjoyable evening.

We'll see you at the next concert.

comments: Carl,Just wanted to let you know that your show at Star Plaza a few weeks ago was great! We enjoyed the Grass Roots and Hermits Hermits but the Buckinghams were fabulous!!The songs brought back some fond memories of my younger years. My parents influenced my taste in music remembering many days of listening to "Kind of a drag", "Susan", and many many more great songs! What is the possiility of including Gary Puckett and the Union Gap in your show? I think the inclusion of this group would be amazing! Please let me know when you are playing again in the Chicagoland area. I will be there!!
Best regards,Mary Stevenson

comments: Carl, your Jan. 30th performance in Merrillville, IN dazzled the audience! This was our 6th year to attend the "Salute to the 60s" concert in Merrillville. You and the band sounded awesome! (We also attended your fabulous Waukegan peformance the evening before.) My husband and I always enjoy hearing "Susan," since that is my name. The other hit tunes fondly bring back happy memories of our teen years. The Chicago set of songs was outstanding! You surprised us by singing "The Worst That Could Happen," and we think it is better than the original artist's version! Thanks for taking a moment to talk to us in the Radisson's Atrium/pool area after the show, too. We're enjoying your brand new live DVD / CD "The Buckinghams Up Close!" We hope to see you return to a venue in the Louisville, Kentucky area some day soon! Susan & Terry - Louisville, KY

Hi there! I can imagine, in this crazy world and in your business (yes, I so understand it is a business!) that there are good and bad fans. I want you to know that we also are very appreciative of you and all your hard work! We had such fun this weekend, our 5th year of going to the Genesee and then Star Plaza for the Bux, Roots and PNHH Salute to the 60’s show! We are spoiled by the lovely recognition you give us as fans, and sincerely enjoy every minute of the shows.

The Genesee needs to have the Bux and the Ides of March perform, so that we can get a “full” show, and not the shortened version. I will be writing, and so will the other Buckettes, to suggest this. The music was tight, and voices wonderful for both shows this weekend. You were right on, even with the stress of a shortened show. Of course, we miss the fun of Bobby and Nick and you, Carl joking around and sharing the History of the Buckinghams. Audiences need to realize just how long you and Nick have been together, and how wonderful this group of musician are that create this “band family” and pure musical genre.

I do not know if you caught the Grammy’s last night, but this nut Lady GaGa, and then Taylor Swift winning Best Album, while she sang so off key I had to mute the TV, makes me wonder what has happened to the music industry. The Rappers (Drake, Eminem, and Lil Wayne) got censored for foul language for 2/3 of their 3 minute performance, with their pants falling off their behinds!

I hope, Carl, you know how appreciated you are as a Musician, writer, composer and performer, and I pray that you continue to develop new ventures and songs with your great band (especially the horns!). Wow, what talented musicians. The industry needs to remember songs with meaning, lyrics and melodies everyone can enjoy. Young and old were rocking in their seats and singing every verse of “Susan” and “Kind of A Drag”, at both the weekend’s shows. No bubble-gum beat with two lines of stupid verse, like the Black Eyed Peas recent releases that has gotten such recognition and Grammy rewards, rather wonderful soul-touching, thought provoking verses and melodies like the Buckinghams Christmas song, Reaching Back, and other new songs you are performing.

You have touched our lives, then and now. My sister and I have made so many new friends through your music and concerts, and we have such fun traveling about to the shows. Susan, you somehow manage to ALWAYS show a smile and make it look so easy, inviting us to feel so welcome, like a part of the family that is the Buckinghams. It is amazing, that each show is still fresh, each one a new opportunity to share the good time we are sure to have, with those around us that may be enjoying the experience for the first time.

As I have learned from being a Noonatic and long time fan of Peter Noone, we ( my group and I) take very seriously our responsibility as Ambassadors for you and the band. When we are out talking with audience members about the band members, your History, and how we enjoy the concerts and invite people to the website to mark their calendars for future shows, we never forget the importance of the business aspect of the Buckinghams.

At the Star Plaza this weekend, a couple Jan and Bill, I had met a few years back at a Summer Buckinghams concert, on the lawn in Bensenville, recognized me and talked for awhile. They had so much fun hanging out with us at the Bensenville concert, they became new, or renewed fans of the Bux! They traveled this time from Cincinnati, OH to catch the show, and said they were thrilled to catch up with our fun group of friends for the Bux and Peter Noone! They ended up hanging out with us until 3:00 a.m.! They intend on keeping an eye on your website for future shows, especially hoping for the 7/4/10 weekend in our area!

So you see, all the positive energy you all send out into the world, spreads and comes back to you 100-fold! Thanks for being you and thanks for always allowing us to share in this wonderful adventure with you!

Respectfully, your fan and friend,
Paula Sanders

comments: Carl,I just wanted to say a big "thank you" for the many years of enjoyment you have brought to "oldies" fans like myself.Having never heard the Bucks in person before, my wife and I and friends were looking forward to your performance for months at the Genesee and I want to let you and the other band members know that you did not disappoint. The experience was thoroughly entertaining! How great it was to hear the songs of my youth again and the memories I can associate with while listening to the Bucks while in high school at Riverside Brookfield during your heyday years of 1967-71.The group still sounds great and I wish you well in the future. I hope to see you again in a west suburban fair sometime in the future. Best wishes.
